About Flushed Away Plumbing – Your New Local Plumber in Hervey Bay
Flushed Away Plumbing is new to Hervey Bay, but we're not new to plumbing. For more than 20 years we built one of the most trusted plumbing, gas and civil businesses in the Southern Highlands of NSW, south of Sydney. In October 2026, owner Rob Flanigan and the team packed up the utes and moved north to make the Fraser Coast home.
We brought everything that earned us our
reputation down south: QBCC licensed #15520701 plumbers and gas fitters, proper equipment, honest pricing, and the habit of turning up when we say we will.
Our Story - From the Southern Highlands to Hervey Bay
Flushed Away Plumbing started in the Southern Highlands as a one-man operation and grew into a full team working right across Bowral, Mittagong, Moss Vale, Berrima and down into Kangaroo Valley. Over the years our work ranged from leaking taps and blocked drains to new homes, hot water installs, wood heater and gas fireplace installations, and civil works on rural subdivisions, including new roads, stormwater and dams.
Southern Highlands homeowners trusted us with their emergencies, their renovations and their new builds.

The move to Hervey Bay was a lifestyle decision for Rob and his family, and the business came too. Same owner, same standards, new postcode. We're now based in Dundowran and fully licensed in Queensland (QBCC Licence 15520701).
Meet the Owner – Rob Flanigan
Rob Flanigan is the hands-on owner of Flushed Away Plumbing. Before the move north he lived in Medway, a small rural village near Moss Vale, and spent years building the business from a single ute into a team that Southern Highlands locals called first.
Rob is a licensed plumber and gas fitter who still works on the tools and knows every job that goes out the door. His experience goes well beyond general maintenance. He has worked on civil and subdivision projects, installed wood-fired and gas heating, and taken on concreting and drainage work on steep sites with tricky access.
